Sunday School for PreK through 8th grade.
We learn about God and Jesus through bible stories. Sometimes we do crafts and play games. The program is free!
Sunday School begins on Sept. 10th with "Welcome Sunday".
We have 3 age breakouts: Nursery-2nd grade, 3rd - 5th grade, 6th-8th grade. Come make new friends! We use the Deep Blue curriculum in the 2 younger classes and Faith Weaver Now curriculum in the Middle School class. The Middle School class goes directly to their classroom downstairs at 10:00 AM. The younger 2 classes begin in the sanctuary with their parents and then exit to Sunday school after the Children's Time message from Pastor Jim. (Many adults say Children's Time is their favorite part of the service.)
Mission Project 2016: Operation Christmas Child. We packed 281 Shoeboxes and sent them off to Burkina Faso and Mali in West Africa; Mexico and Namibia in Southern Africa. We will again be doing this in 2017. The Shoebox packing party is November 19th at 11:30 AM at the church. All are invited to pack shoeboxes with goodies!
All Sunday School Volunteer Teachers have been attending church for at least 6 months, have been interviewed and have had background checks. Our Safe Sanctuary Policy mandates that there are always 2 adults present with the children at all times.
Food Collection Sundays
On the last Sunday of the month, we collect non-perishable food items (protein items such as hearty soups, tuna, peanut butter and pasta) for The Community Center of Northern Westchester. The children will come through the sanctuary during Children's Time to collect your items.
