We are very excited to be starting a new curriculum this year called Seasons of the Spirit. The lessons in this program follow the lectionary that Pastor Lori will be preaching from, making it a great way to tie our church together. The children will be learning the same concepts that the adults are, and there are take home sheets which give parents ideas how to talk about it all at home and resources to explore further. To better engage with the Bible stories, the curriculum provides various activities each week based on ages, interests, learning-styles and abilities. These activities revolve around games, music, art, drama and outreach. The first unit, which we will be exploring over the next month, talks about creation giving our kids a chance to grasp the awesomeness of the creation story, our uniqueness in being created in God's image, and our relationship and responsibility to the world around us.
Food Collection Sundays
On the last Sunday of the month, we will be collecting non-perishable food items (protein items such as hearty soups, tuna, peanutbutter and pasta) for The Community Center of Northern Westchester. The children will come through the sanctuary during Children's Time to collect your items.
