Sunday School for PreK through 8th grade.
We learn about God and Jesus through bible stories. Sometimes we do crafts and play games. The younger kids watch a short 5 minute video to get started. The program is free!
We have 2 age breakouts: PreK - 5th grade, 6th-8th grade. We use the Deep Blue video. All ages start out in the sanctuary with their parents and then exit to Sunday school after the Children's Time message from Pastor Jim. (Many adults say Children's Time is their favorite part of the service.) 6th - 8th graders meet only on the second Sunday of each month.
Mission Project 2018: Operation Christmas Child. We packed 300 shoe boxes that went to Malawi and Colombia.
Mission Project 2017: Operation Christmas Child. We packed 243 Shoe boxes that were sent to Honduras, Dominican Republic and the Ukraine! We're so happy that we spread the love of God and Jesus!
Mission Project 2016: Operation Christmas Child. We packed 281 Shoe boxes and sent them off to Burkina Faso and Mali in West Africa; Mexico and Namibia in Southern Africa.
All Sunday School Volunteer Teachers have been attending church for at least 6 months, have been interviewed and have had background checks. Our Safe Sanctuary Policy mandates that there are always 2 adults present with the children at all times.
Food Collection Sundays
On the last Sunday of the month, we collect non-perishable food items (protein items such as hearty soups, tuna, peanut butter and pasta) for The Community Center of Northern Westchester. The children will come through the sanctuary during Children's Time to collect your items.
