Jazz Vespers - February 19

Awan Rashad is a saxophonist born and raised in Albany, NY. He is a current senior at SUNY Purchase and studies with some of the greatest jazz musicians today such as Ralph Lalama and Gary Smulyan. Awan tries to stick to the sound of jazz from the Hard Bop era, while simultaneously adding his own modern voice to the music.
